“Opening Opportunities for Those with Disabilities”

 

This note is an overview and status update of a new ministry Mickey and Barbara Robinson of Prophetic Destiny International are launching called Door of Hope Foundation which is both timely and unprecedented. We are trusting the Lord to move mightily upon individuals lives on behalf of these precious ones in need!

 

Our oldest son, Michael, was born with the diagnosis of cerebral palsy which was complicated by a failed back operation that caused increased pain, emotional trauma, and other obstacles that need to be removed. Those that know our son are taken by his good humor, compassion for others, along with the zeal to live a full life and find destiny in God. There are so many others in need just like our son.

 

Some of the goals and missions of Door of Hope Foundation is to provide supportive residential living, loving therapeutic care, training for gainful employment, immigration into the mainstream society, and expressing their identity from who they are in the Lord rather than some association with any limitation. Our son, Michael, is now 35 years old. We have scoured this nation and nothing of this nature appears to exist either in the Church or in the secular world to help empower those who need a jumpstart in life to help them contribute from their gifts and calling to others. We need your help to meet the needs of son and others like him.

 

Presently, we are concluding the adaptations of a one level house in Springhill, TN that will be an outstanding ideal first ever housing/training residency for Door of Hope. The adaptations will cost in the range of $10,000. Michael will have a suitable housemate to share the expenses and enjoy a loving non-institutional real home where their lives will have greater freedom and opportunity to seek their destiny. This will prove to be a model, as well as an eye-opener, of authentic Samaritan Inn expression of love and compassion. Your contribution will make s significant impact because of the weight of love you carry.

Statement of Endorsement

 

The Robinson family has been dear friends of the Encounters Network and Compassion Acts ministries for years. Not only have we ministered around the globe together, but the Goll’s and Robinson have lived in the same community and neighborhood for several years.  It is our delight to help promote their need through our division of Compassion Acts called Anchor of Hope. Responses from this appeal for assistance with the housing adaptation for Door of Hope Foundation and Michael Robinson, will be channeled through Anchor of Hope and will therefore be a tax deductible contributions.
